[Celebrations]
Kazunoko is made from the ovaries of herring, and as it has the same meaning as "two parents (herring)," it is said that "many children will be born from two parents," and is therefore considered to be an auspicious item for the prosperity of descendants.

[Taste]
We have left it unbleached and seasoned it to make it easy to eat. There is no need to remove the salt, so you can eat it as is. Generally, to make herring roe golden in color, bleaching agents (such as hydrogen peroxide*) are used, and then it is colored with gardenia pigments. (*Processing aids = carryover are not required to be labeled.) When bleached, the flavor escapes, so it is necessary to season it more strongly. At Natural House, we use "Japanese whole soybean soy sauce aged for over a year" and other ingredients, so there is no need for additives such as umami seasonings for flavor.
